Oparex Nebula Opal, also known as Aurora Opal, is an innovative resin-based material produced by KYOCERA Corporation in Japan. This unique lab-created opal is made by heat-hardening a blend of high-quality resin and silica. It is created by heat-hardening a blend of high-quality resin and silica, resulting in a durable and versatile material. Unlike traditional lab-grown opals with a high silica content, Aurora Opal contains approximately 20% silica and 80% resin, classifying it as a "Resin Colloidal Imitation Opal" or "Opal-like Plastic" (OLP). Nebula opal offers a captivating opal-like appearance at an accessible price point, making it ideal for jewelry, inlays, and decorative applications. Oparex Nebula Opal is available in 49 different colors, providing endless possibilities for creative design. We only have 3 colors in stock, but are planning on adding more to our inventory soon!
